Meta’s upcoming sunglasses could let users do livestreams on Instagram

Meta and Ray-Ban are reportedly working on a second-generation of smart glasses, rumored to have improved cameras and battery life. The new glasses may also feature the ability to stream videos directly to Facebook and Instagram, with viewers being able to communicate with the live streamer through audio relayed to the glasses' headphones. The first-generation Ray-Ban Stories glasses have faced technical issues and a high abandonment rate, but Meta still plans to release the second-generation glasses this year. The third-generation glasses, expected in 2025, may include a small display for text messages and translation. Meta's true AR glasses are not due until 2027.
